Lauren Coughlin

Coughlin Tops Solheim Rankings

Lauren Coughlin scored 3.5 points out of 5 in the 2026 Solheim Cup to be the second highest points score on Team USA. This continued her excellent record in the Solheim Cup which  took Coughlin (0.778) to the top of the all-time Solheim Cup rankings despite being on the losing side.

Europe’s win resulted in several changes to the top-10 of the Women’s Match Play World Golf Rankings. These are based on the points won per match across all team and individual match play events over the last 4 years.

With only 3 of the Women’s MPWR top-10 playing the event, most of the big movements came from players further down the rankings who had a good week. Linn Grant won all four of her matches and rose 13 places to 17th, with her partner Stark gaining four places to 13th.

However the biggest climb was by American Alison Lee who also won all four of her games to climb 25 places to 22nd.

Other top performers from both teams at Bernardus Golf also rose up the rankings:

  • Lauren Coughlin (0.708) rising from 8th to 7th
  • Maja Stark (0.638) rising from 17th to 13th
  • Linn Grant (0.614) rising from 30th to 17th
  • Alison Lee (0.577) rising from 47th to 22nd

Players heading in the other direction down the rankings were:

  • Megan Khang (0.733) falling from 3rd to tied 4th
  • Leona Maguire (0.630) falling from 11th to 14th
