Adam Scott Breaks 100 At Presidents Cup
In the 2026 Presidents Cup, Adam Scott became the 11th player to play over 100 matches in the Match Play World Golf Rankings.
Whilst his overall record of 0.430 (P100, W39, L53, H8) is not up there with the leading centurions such as Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods, it is pretty consistent across all match play formats, with foursomes his best format at 0.500 (P24, W11, L11, H2).

In his 12th Presidents Cup Adam Scott also became the player with the most matches played in the Presidents Cup with 58 (W21, L30 H6), overtaking Phil Mickelson on 55. He was already the leading points scorer for the International team, which he extended to 24 points at Medinah.
2026 Presidents Cup Player Rankings
Following the USA’s final round comeback in the singles to win the 2026 Presidents Cup, there were several notable changes to the current Men’s Match Play World Rankings.
Rory McIlroy (0.806) is now back on top as Cameron Young (0.750) drops to second, Sam Burns (0.659) falls from 3rd to 5th and Xander Schauffele (0.655) fell from 5th to 8th. Biggest movers up the rankings were:
- Tom Kim (0.542) rising to 16th after 4 wins from 5 matches
- Scottie Scheffler (0.520) rising from 21st to 17th
Players heading in the other direction down the rankings were
- Russell Henley (0.462) falling from 13th to T24th
- Corey Conners (0.462) falling from 17th to T24th
The main reason that there was little movement from the big names in the rankings is that most of the top scorers at Medinah were rookies who have not reached the minimum number of games.
Debutants Chris Gotterup (0.750) and Jason Koivun (0.833) for the USA and Nick Taylor (0.500) for the Internationals all have a solid base from which to rise up the Match Play World Rankings in the future.
