The Matrix also avoids the issues with using Group Stages, as it means that everyone plays the same number of games and that there are no repeat fixtures.

The tie breaker for scoring could be frames or points if the number of frames is less than best of 3. Whichever is chosen as the scoring unit is added together from each match to create the Score Difference for each player. Players are then ranked first by wins and then by Score Difference.
