Team Cup & Seve Trophy Player Rankings
Over the years there has been several men’s team match play events between players representing Great Britain & Ireland and Continental Europe. These team match play golf events use a combination of singles, foursomes and four-ball match play formats with the aim of being a proving ground for the European Ryder Cup team.
The event started as the Seve Trophy in 2000 and ran until 2013 for a trophy donated by Severiano Ballesteros. The format was revived as the Hero Cup in 2023 and then as the Team Cup from 2025.
